Thank you for explaining this woman's background. It is refreshing how you have captured one of the many unsung heroes in the world. Last week, a friend told me a story about a man he met in Cambodia who lost his legs after stepping on an old land mine. Yet, in the face of massive adversity & little support from others,he found a way to survive and continue to supporting his young family. You see, he custom built himself a bicycle with hand peddles to get to and from work and be able to move about within the factory. My friend said, it was one of the most inspirational things he's ever seen. And well, the world is full of unsung heroes like that -- especially in war torn countries. So thank you once again for using your gift as an artist to give one such person such well deserved recognition.

This lady has survived so many things. As a child she was hit my morter blast in WWII, left for dead in a whole. American GI's found her and she remained in the hospital for months and then finally reuinted with her family. She ate out of garbage cans and dumpsters to survive and watched her 6 month old brother starve to death. Her heart is full, she is a beautiful Spirit and I hope I could capture just a glimpse of her. This woman is a hero, the unsung kind, but a hero! There is more, but I will stop now.
